Free English classes! (ESL)

Now offering virtual and in-person classes! Beginner or advanced — all classes are free!

Learn English at HCDE Adult Education

HCDE Adult Education offers free English classes for speakers of other languages. 

  • Beginning, intermediate, advanced English learners are welcome!
  • Improve your English reading, writing, and pronunciation skills
  • Leadership and digital literacy training

 

ESL Classes at HCDE: Virtual or in-person, the choice is yours!

 

Eligibility Requirements

Proof of citizenship or legal resident status (e.g., unrestricted REAL Texas ID or Driver's License).
  • Be at least 19 years old to register for class.
  • If you are 17 or 18, you must be officially withdrawn from public school and have parental consent.
  • If you are 16, you must submit a court order requiring GED enrollment.
Must live in Harris or Liberty County
Attend orientation and registration.

Commit to attending every class.

Have access to technology (computer, smartphone, tablet, and internet)
