Workforce Certification Programs

Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program helps adults gain the skills and hands-on training needed to care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, measuring vital signs, infection control and safety procedures, effective communication and teamwork, real clinical experience in a healthcare facility. It will prepare you for the State CNA Certification Exam, build a strong foundation for nursing or other medical career, such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide, Patient Care Technician, and Pathway to Nursing or Allied Health Fields.

Overview:

A phlebotomy class provides training in the proper collection of blood and other specimens for diagnostic testing. It includes theoretical knowledge and practical skills in venipuncture, safety procedures, patient care, medical terminology, infection control, and the role of a phlebotomist in the healthcare system.

Overview

This program equips adults with the essential skills to manage healthcare documentation, medical coding, and insurance billing procedures. Students learn medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, along with insurance claims processing and compliance with industry standards. Graduates are prepared for entry-level administrative positions in medical offices, hospitals, and insurance companies. The program leads to national certification by NHA and provides a strong foundation for career advancement in healthcare administration.

Overview

This program prepares adults with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to perform electrocardiograms safely and accurately. Students learn cardiac anatomy and physiology, proper patient preparation, correct electrode placement and the operation of EKG equipment. The program emphasizes safety, infection control and accurate documentation. Upon successful completion, learners will receive the national EKG certification. Graduates are prepared for entry-level EKG technician roles in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic labs.

Overview

Gain the industry-standard credentials recognized by employers worldwide. A CompTIA A+ class is an introductory IT training program that teaches essential skills for tech support roles within a few Career Pathways: Help Desk Technician, IT Support Specialist, Field Service Technician, System Administrator. The class covers hardware installation/troubleshooting (PCs, mobile devices), basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi), operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), security (malware, access control) and cloud/virtualization basics, preparing learners for the two-part A+ certification exams (Core 1 & Core 2) through hands-on labs and conceptual learning.

Overview

This program provides adults with practical skills in office administration and technology essential in today's digitalized workplace environment. Students will set themselves apart with employers as a highly skilled user by developing a high-level proficiency in Microsoft 365, data management, professional communication and customer service. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will have an opportunity to obtain a globally recognized credential from Microsoft such as MOS Associate or MOS Expert certification by Certiport.  The program opens doors to many roles like Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Data Analyst, and Project Coordinator across a variety of industries, while also laying a foundation for career growth and advancement in business and office technology fields.
